About APM
What is APM Leasing?

APM Leasing is a business-to-business aviation equipment provider serving flight schools across the United States. We source, refurbish, and deliver aircraft on long-term operating leases — enabling flight schools to expand their fleets without the capital burden of aircraft ownership.

We are a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), founded by two active airline pilots with deep roots in both military service and commercial aviation.

Who founded APM Leasing?

APM was founded by Bill Boehm and Chris Fitch — both active airline pilots with MBAs.

Chris Fitch brings exceptional technical depth: former Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE), IA A&P mechanic, USMC and Army veteran. He personally evaluates every aircraft before it enters the APM program.

Bill Boehm is a flight instructor and retired U.S. Army officer. He is the primary point of contact for all lease inquiries and personally reaches out to every prospective partner.

Is APM a veteran-owned business?

Yes. APM Leasing is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Military service is not a marketing badge for APM — it's the foundation of how we operate. Commitments are kept, problems are owned, and partners are treated as long-term relationships, not transactions.

Aircraft & Availability
Do you have aircraft available right now?

Our fleet is currently fully leased — a direct reflection of strong demand from our flight school partners. However, APM actively sources, refurbishes, and delivers aircraft on request.

If you need a specific trainer type, contact us with your requirements. We will find it, prepare it to our standards, and deliver it ready to fly with a fresh annual inspection.

What types of aircraft does APM work with?

We work with a range of fixed-wing trainers and advanced aircraft:

  • Cessna 172 160HP, 122kts cruise, 4-seat — VFR with optional IFR
  • Tecnam P2002 100HP Rotax, Dual Garmin G3X, autopilot, GTN 650 — VFR/IFR capable
  • Tecnam Astore 100HP, 120kts, 520nm range, 485lb useful load
  • Tecnam P-Mentor 100HP, 117kts, 950nm range, 628lb useful load
  • Piper Seneca Twin-engine, 6-seat, full IFR — ideal for multi-engine training

We also lease flight simulators, engines, and avionics.

Can you source a specific aircraft type my school needs?

Yes. Tell us what you need — aircraft type, avionics configuration, special equipment (cold-weather, floats, etc.) — and APM will source candidates from our nationwide network. Chris evaluates every aircraft before acquisition using examiner-level scrutiny: logbooks, airframe condition, engine time, and avionics. The aircraft arrives with a fresh annual inspection.

Lease Terms
What is the minimum lease commitment?

Leases carry a one-year minimum term with a minimum of 40 flight hours per month. A 40-hour deposit is collected at lease signing.

How does billing work?

Flight hours are tracked by Hobbs meter. Usage reports are due by the 10th of the following month. Billing is based on actual hours flown against your monthly minimum.

Can rates be negotiated for high-utilization schools?

Yes. Schools averaging 80 or more flight hours per month can negotiate rates. Paint, interior, and avionics upgrades are also negotiable based on lessee performance history. The more hours you fly, the more flexibility we have to work with you.

  • Return of the aircraft at lease end
